Good Day On The Lake

I took the boys out on the lake today and the fishing was unbelievable. We caught spawning fish all morning and the boys had a good time 'sight fishing' for the first time.   Jacob (8 years old) landed many fat fish on his YUM baits and he is still bragging about how many fish he caught. I think I will leave him at home next time:)

Aaron Anderson's Spring Pheasant Hunt in S. Dakota

Aaron Anderson, one of our HS teachers, recently sent me these pictures from his Pheasant hunt in South Dakota.  Aaron had a very short stay in South Dakota and, for the first time, happily cut his hunt short.......he drove back to OK to watch his son play in the NCAA Basketball tournament!  Thanks for sharing Aaron.

With the water creeping into the low 50's, Jacob, Jet, and I had a good day on the water. Making long casts into submerged tumble weeds and bushes, we were able to catch several nice fish that were moving into shallow water. Our largest fish was a 4.1lb largemouth Jacob is holding in this first picture. Our day was cut short due to dead trolling motor batteries, but my two boys had a good time.
